E-commerce: Contribution to the development of international exchanges

Was the theme of the Special Ramadhan Conference organized by The Chambre Nationale des Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises (CNFCE), on Wednesday September 3rd 2009, in Karthago Palace Gammarth Tunis.

The debate gathered, in addition to CNFCE members, several representatives of public entities, representative of local NGO’s, University professors and a very important representation of the local press media. Opening the debates, Mrs Faouzia Slama opened the debates by introducing the speakers as well as those businesswomen having experienced the E-Commerce "business" 

Mrs Khadija Chahloul, principal private Secretary of Minister of Trade , Small businesses and handicraft industries sector gave an overall outlook on the panorama of the situation of the new technologies and the E-commerce in Tunisia. Mrs Chahloul highlighted, in particular, the various measures that have been taken to boost the E-commerce in Tunisia.

     the modernization of the infrastructure by reinforcing the networking & the introduction of new technologies
    
     setting -up the legal reglementation of the commercial exchanges & the e- commerce as well as the law relted to on-line travelling agencies
    
     creation of the national agency of the electronic certification
    
     creation of the national agency of information systems security
    
     New means of payment thru e- payments ( e.g : e-dinar payment...-
    
     development of a know-how culture & proficiencies in the e-commerce

  The presentation of Mrs Chahloul  was followed by that of Mr  Khaled Fradi, Chief Executive Officer of the Company Electronic banking of Tunisia ( SMT), producer of bank cards as well as  the  the maintenance of automated teller machines. Mr Fradi presented the various products of the company and insisted on how to secure e- payments. A new mean of products have been developed thru the use of mobile phone ( M-payment) which will allow make transactions from  mobile phones.

The Conference was an opportunity for all the presents to hear experiences from young companies run by ladies and who are making their start-up in the field of the E-commerce sector.
The debate following the presentations was very rich and enabled businesswomen to go thru the difficulties they are facing when dealing with E-commerce.
